・Birmingham is located in the centre of England. 30% of its population belong
to some ethnic groups which are mainly south Asian and Caribbean.Their main
residential area is 3km north from the town centre. The length of the
shopping street is about 2km.
・Shops here are mainly south Asian grocery stores and boutiques. However we
could not find any restaurants at all.
・In the 1980's, this area saw a rise in crime. The authorities tried to fight back
was also installed, which now gives us a tidy impression today.
・Birmingham is the origin of the south Asian food "Balti". There are many
restaurants dedicated to this famous dish in an area known as the "Baltic
triangle", which is 3km south from the town centre.
